The Unglaciated Allegheny Plateau is located in an arc around southeastern Ohio into western Pennsylvania

Hocking Hills The Hocking Hills is a scenic area of Ohio, primarily in Hocking County, that features cliffs, gorges, rock
shelters, and waterfalls. The relatively extreme topography in this area is due to the Blackhand Sandstone, a particular formation that is thick, hard and weather-resistant, and so forms cliffs. See 1800hocking.com [ Travel Guide, Hocking Hills & Logan Area Lodging, Dining, Attractions & More ].

Akron - Akron-Summit Visitors Bureau
Situated in the undulating hills and valleys of the Western Reserve, the city of Akron began as one of the first
canal towns on the Ohio & Erie Canal. The city grew around the canal; businesses sprang up to accommodate canalboat passengers who had to wait six hours for the boats to work through the lock
