 Unglaciated Allegheny Plateau
The Unglaciated Allegheny Plateau is located in an arc around southeastern Ohio into western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. This area is a dissected plateau, characterized by sandstone, shale, and many coal seams.
One of the most spectacular and scenic areas in this region is located in southeast Ohio, and is known as the Hocking Hills region. This area, similar to but smaller than the Red River Gorge in the Cumberland Plateau in Kentucky, features cliffs, rock shelters and waterfalls.
 Glaciated Allegheny Plateau
The Glaciated Allegheny Plateau is that portion of the Allegheny Plateau that lies within the area covered by the last glaciation. As a result, this area of the Allegheny Plateau has lower relief and more gentle slopes than the relatively rugged Unglaciated Allegheny Plateau.
The major cities on the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau are Akron and Youngstown.
 Glacial till plains
  Hocking Hills
The Hocking Hills is a scenic area of Ohio, primarily in Hocking County, that features cliffs, gorges, rock shelters, and waterfalls. The relatively extreme topography in this area is due to the Blackhand Sandstone, a particular formation that is thick, hard and weather-resistant, and so forms cliffs. See 1800hocking.com [ Travel Guide, Hocking Hills & Logan Area Lodging, Dining, Attractions & More ].
 Lake Erie
Most southern of the five Great Lakes of North America. It is bounded on the north by Ontario, on the south by the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, and on the west by the state of Michigan.

The beauty of Mohican State Park and Forest is second to none, and nearby Malabar Farm is the most unusual State Park in Ohio. Loudonville, on the Black Fork branch of the Mohican, draws families from across the Midwest who have discovered the diverse recreation and unique accommodations from campgrounds to a castle.

 Akron  -  Akron-Summit Visitors Bureau
Situated in the undulating hills and valleys of the Western Reserve, the city of Akron began as one of the first canal towns on the Ohio & Erie Canal. The city grew around the canal; businesses sprang up to accommodate canalboat passengers who had to wait six hours for the boats to work through the lock system; and New Englanders brought their zeal and Yankee-style architecture to Akron. The city quickly became a manufacturing center...

Bessie is reported to be snake-like and 9-12 m [ 30-40 ft ] long with a grayish color. The creature is blamed for an attack in 1992 that killed three people.
