Vacations Dubai.
Dubai is renowned for it's glorious sandy beaches, magnificent shopping malls and range of leisure activities.
Just 100 years ago, Dubai was a tranquil trading town situated on the banks of the Creek, edged by coral and gypsum huts. Today, the city of Dubai is a sprawling metropolis of glass and steel
skyscrapers, with a skyline to rival that of Manhattan. Dubai is actually two towns joined by the Creek, with the district of Bur Dubai to the south and Deira to the north. Further south, but now
adjoining the city, the Jumeirah Beach area offers modem business parks and some of the finest hotels in the world, most of which overlook the magnificent beach. For such a small city, Dubai has a
surprising and varied array of sights and attractions.

Bastakiya
The earliest form of air conditioning, the wind tower, which was used to cool homes in the Gulf, can still be
seen in the Bastakiya area, to the east of Al Fahidi Fort where many traditional courtyard houses can be found.
Camel Race Track Camel racing is a popular local sport and takes place on weekends (Thursday and Friday) throughout the
winter. Most tour operators can organize a trip to the track for an exhilarating and truly Arabian experience.
Dubai Creek Lined by dhows, the Creek offers a picturesque glimpse of Dubai's trading heritage. It can be crossed by
'abra' (water taxi) and tour operators offer day or night cruises.
Dubai Museum
Dubai Museum, incorporating Al Fahidi Fort, is a living picture of life in Dubai both past and present. The
museum includes collections and exhibits on pearl diving, indigenous animals, dhow building and daily life.
Gold Souq Dubai boasts one of the largest retail gold markets in the world, selling everything from ingots to intricately
worked jewellery at bargain prices. The street-front stores hide alleys of smaller shops with glittering show windows.
Shindagha At the mouth of the Creek, Shindagha is the original site from which Dubai grew. Sheikh Saeed's house, the
former home of the ruling Maktoum family, has been carefully restored here.
Spice Souq
The narrow lanes of the spice souq are redolent with cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, incense, dried fruit and
nuts. Imported from all over the Middle East, they are sold straight out of open sacks that surround the shopkeepers.

the world's most advanced water theme parks. Featuring the tallest and fastest water speed rides outside
